Artist Statement.

I work to express the complexity of interpersonal dynamics, private thoughts, and emotions in my paintings. As a person that feels like I often overanalyze my experiences, relationships, and interactions, Iā€™m obsessed with finding a visual language to depicts the tension that can live between people, the emotional ambiguity that lingers inside us as individuals, and the grey areas that define so much of our internal lives.

Through surrealism, I create worlds where the dreamlike and the familiar collide, using imagery and symbolism to visualize psychological states that are difficult to articulate. My paintings bring to light what is usually hidden underneath our surface, such as quiet anxieties, tenderness, joy, longing, and doubt.
