Artist Statement.

My surrealist paintings depict relationships, personal thoughts and complex emotions. I paint to create a visual language that depicts the tension that can live between people and the emotional enmeshment that lingers inside us as individuals, such as quiet anxieties, tenderness, joy, longing, and doubt.

Through surrealism, I create worlds where the dreamlike and the familiar collide, using imagery and symbolism to visualize psychological and emotional states that are difficult to articulate. My paintings bring to light what is usually hidden underneath our surface.
